Guru Nanak was the founder of Sikhism and the first of the ten Sikh Gurus. He was born in 1469 in a village called Rai Bhoi di Talwandi, now known as Nankana Sahib, in Pakistan. He travelled extensively across Asia, spreading his message of peace, love, and equality. He also composed many hymns and poems that are part of the Sikh scripture, Guru Granth Sahib.
