The other problem is I want to use my original dvd drive since I might have to copy things (like games) from the install discs to my SSD. But the dvd drive that I'm trying to use - does not have iso support. I keep trying to use my USB dvd burner, and it doesn't want to let me do that either.
I got a shattered 1.6 really cheap, after 1 year is like new, new case, DVD drive working, aladdin chip installed and a 128gb hdd(this is Provisional) I waiting the sata2IDE converter and put a 500gb hdd) also when I bought this the motherboard was pre hacked with wires so this just need a chip and that's it, anyway I flash the noDVD check bios thinking on the next update... So right now what's next?, just copy a lot of games to the hdd? Install emulators or use like media center I dunno this is a new word for me
* Just finished downloading truhexen. I've tried to burn it with both my dvd-r and dvd-r+ drive. The dvd-r will read it, but the dvd-r+ will not. The book says to use a m8+ with a usb dvd burner, but that I don't have. I downloaded a boot disc on my external hdd but it failed. So now im stuck here. I've got it as a.iso on my NTFS formatted harddrive.
I have a noDVD bios in the box. I took the DVD drive off and put a SATA2IDE adapter, I booted up noDVD and the DVD drive worked fine. However, when I tried to put the DVD drive back in it threw a warranty violation error. I did the usual reset, hard reset, and upgrade bios. Still, the same error. I also tried 2 DVD drives so I think something else is wrong. After about a week of searching I stumbled on a possibility, I downloaded a driver for the DVD drive. I inserted the DVD drive while the mainboard was turned off, and the DVD drive worked fine. 3d9ccd7d82
