Jeremiah White and Lauren Coogan competed on the thirty-seventh season of The Challenge.[3] Lauren also appeared in episode 6 of HBO Max series FBOY Island.[4] Sher Suarez appeared on the fifth season of MTV's Ex on the Beach.[5]
Johnny Middlebrooks competed on Paramount+ original All Star Shore[6] and competed on the thirty-eighth season of The Challenge. Cely Vazquez and Justine Ndiba competed on The Challenge: USA.[7] In 2023, Ndiba returned to compete on The Challenge: World Championship.[8]
CBS originally announced on February 14, 2020 the second season would premiere on May 21, 2020, scheduled to take place in Fiji, and was initially to end at the end of June before the Fourth of July holiday to avoid scheduling conflicts with the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.[44] The second season was subsequently placed on hold with a new season premiere date to be determined after the network announced on April 7 they would launch CBS Sunday Movie for a five-week run starting on May 3 after television productions were shut down due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.[45] An article from The Hollywood Reporter on April 7, 2020 noted that CBS would be without new seasons of Big Brother and Love Island during the summer. Unnamed sources to the publication said the network would rely on repeats of their scripted shows that \"have historically repeated well.\"[46] Kelly Kahl, President of CBS Entertainment, said the network was \"optimistic\" about airing both shows during the summer \"a little later than usual\" in an interview with Deadline Hollywood on May 19, 2020.[47]
CBS revealed on July 23, 2020 that the next season of Big Brother would premiere on August 5 with new protocols to protect the cast and crew from COVID-19.[48] The day prior, Vulture reported that pre-production has started on the second season of Love Island.[49] Filming for the second season took place at The Cromwell in Las Vegas on a bio-secure bubble zone instead of an international destination like with season one due to international travel restrictions related to COVID-19. The network and ITV required everyone involved with the show to undergo quarantine prior to the beginning of production.[49]
The series included the first time an Islander was removed from the villa, as Malia Arkian was removed just hours after she entered the villa following an altercation with Kady McDermott. It also featured a number of voluntarily exits from the series, as Rykard Jenkins decided to leave the villa after his new love interest Rachel Fenton was eliminated. Zara Holland also decided to leave after discovering her mum is in the hospital.[4] Sophie Gradon also decided to voluntarily leave the villa.[5] Sophie and Katie Salmon were also the first same-sex couple to feature in Love Island.[6]
The Islanders for the second series were revealed on 24 May 2016, just a week before the launch.[13] However, throughout the series, more Islanders entered the villa to find love. Some Islanders were dumped from the island for either failing to couple up, some were voted off by their fellow Islanders, and others for receiving the fewest votes in public eliminations. The series was won by Cara and Nathan on 11 July 2016 having received 54% of the vote.[14]
The season was waylaid thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, but managed to finally premiere at a villa on a gorgeous rooftop in Las Vegas that was safe for them to film in. The entire season was rife with twists, turns and, of course, drama. In the end, four couples made their way to the finale, but did their romance last beyond that
Season 2, which will air seven nights a week this season, finds a new set of Islanders searching for love in a gorgeous villa at Caesars Entertainment's boutique hotel, The Cromwell, in Las Vegas. The original plan was to return to Fiji for the new season, but in light of COVID-19, the series was then moved to Sin City. The new location certainly lends itself to uninhibited debauchery like never before, which is why this season of the American series might be the most exciting yet.
With filming underway in such close quarters in the middle of the pandemic, the show is taking serious precautions to ensure the safety of everyone on the crew and staff, and each contestant. For starters, all cast and crew were required to quarantine before production began and were tested prior to starting their work on the show. Islanders have also been quarantined and will be tested for COVID-19 before they enter the villa. Plus, there will be regular testing throughout the season as well as daily screenings for symptoms.
As we gear up for new episodes, fans can expect to see the return of several franchise staples as well as a few fun surprises. Castro and Thursby-Palmer confirmed that the show is bringing back some of your favorite games and challenges from last season along with several new twists, like a secret jacuzzi where Islanders can sneak away for some much-needed privacy. Plus, this season will feature Casa Amore, an entirely new villa that will introduce five new gals and five new guys who are certain to shake up the already-established couples. That unique twist was first introduced in Season 3 of Love Island U.K. and has been a fan-favorite ever since.
Matthew Hoffman will be back as narrator, along with host Arielle Vandenberg, who Castro and Thursby-Palmer say will be around quite a bit this season. \"We love Arielle and we know the fans do to!\" they said. \"You will definitely see a lot of her this season and we are excited for what she will bring.\"

Truly, this season of Love Island has been a daily highlight for us, and Justine and Caleb are one of the biggest reasons why. (Justine and Cely Vazquez's beautiful friendship is another big reason.)
All of season two of Love Island USA was filmed on a rooftop at the Cromwell Hotel in Las Vegas and while it continued to be weird to call them \"Islanders,\" we gotta say we didn't hate it. We wouldn't mind watching another season on a Vegas rooftop, though hopefully this pandemic won't last long enough for that to happen again.
Hello, islanders! Season 2 of Love Island USA has brought us more love, more drama, and more fun than ever before. The producers found an interesting and diverse cast from all different backgrounds (though they need to work on size inclusivity and LGBTQ+ representation).
Season 2's cast of singles has, for better or for worse, formed many relationships throughout the summer. People are complicated, and things predictably get messy when alcohol is provided every day. Some relationships in the villa have gotten ugly, some have thrived, and some have remained somewhere in between. Either way, fans obsess over the islanders and some have become social media sensations.
Lakeynn and Bennett met at the very end of the season, but have gotten close very quickly. When Lakeynn entered the villa, she turned the head of already coupled up Carrington. She pursued him, until he chose to stick with his previous girl, Laurel, at the re-coupling ceremony. This is when Bennett got to choose Lakeynn, who he had expressed feelings for since the moment she entered the villa. Lakeynn seemed to like Bennett, but since she had chased Carrington more vigorously, fans weren't sure how authentic the connection was. However, in the short time they have been coupled up, Lakeynn and Bennet have shown true compatibility. They have been super cute with snuggles and showing affection, and the fact that the comfort level is already there shows something special.
Coming in at a landslide for the most compatible couple, is, of course, Justine and Caleb. These two are each the most amazing people, and together they are a power couple. Justine had a hard time at the beginning of the season, not seeming to click with anyone. Fans love her genuineness, her humor, and her fashion choices, so they really wanted to see her find love.
Insert Caleb. He stole America's hearts as well, fans voted for him for \"guy you'd most want to be best friends with\". Caleb chose Justine when she and Rachel were fighting over him. Ever since, they have been steady, strong, and inspiring. They value the same things and make each other better. If the only thing to come from this whole season is Justine & Caleb, then it was worth it, and fans can't wait to see if they'll be together IRL.
When new guy Jalen entered the villa, Mackenzie seemed to light up. She went from being uptight and anxious, to carefree and fun. Jalen was giving her the attention she needed, and bringing out her good side. Fans loved to see her happy. Unfortunately, this only lasted a few days.
Kiersten and Carrington got together towards the beginning of the season. They seemed perfect for a while, but then when she wanted more out of the relationship, he just wasn't willing to put in the work. They decided to remain friends, leaving Kiersten to watch Carrington pursue many other girls. She made it clear that her heart was still with him, all the way until the night she walked out of the villa. Heartbreaking. Kiersten deserves someone to love her how she loves Carrington, but he just wasn't that guy. 59ce067264
