If you are not using a Huawei phone, you can follow this guide to enable third-party app notifications on the lockscreen. You will have to enable the option to “Show notification on lockscreen” and make sure you set the LED lights to “No Sound.” Once you are done with that, you will be able to receive notifications on the lockscreen while your device is locked.
After that, when you wake the device up, the notifications will pop up at the top of the screen and your phone won’t go to sleep again. The notifications will remain on the lockscreen until you swipe it away.
Do note that the first time you turn on AOD, you need to scan and set up your phone. And after that, it should be working fine. You can also see the option to “Show notification on lockscreen” in the “Notifications” section.
The first thing you need to do is make sure you are logged in to the Huawei account on your phone. Open the Settings app, and then scroll down to the Security panel and tap on it. Now, scroll down further until you see the option for “Notifications” and tap on it.
As for third party notifications, Huawei removed the feature from Mate 20 Pro's latest beta build. The removal clearly indicates that this feature is not on its way to Mate 20 Pro anytime soon.
And the people who are complaining of this problem still have no other choice other than waiting for Huawei to roll out a fix. Meanwhile, it is quite likely that as mentioned in our previous post , the Mate 20 Pro comes with a brand new gesture recognition feature which is supposed to enable the next gen AI assistant.
The problem is that MIUI doesn't support black-out mode, which is an option that allows Android devices to suppress app notifications. The reason being that the company wants to keep the phone's bright display of the apps running the most up-to-date. But for users who want to stop third party notifications from appearing, they need to turn off AOD for the entire device.
