Acer eSettings Management is a freeware application downloaded at Acer's site and updated this latest version to version 2.5.3004.This utility is provided and you can download the latest version at your convenience. We have also not tested this version but we expect it to work like the previous versions.
Before we cover the usage and features of Acer eSettings Management, let's first see it in action. This utility comes in a Setup.exe program and you can run Setup.exe from the Start menu or from the desktop icon of this software.Once the Setup has completed installation, it will open a new window which will show Acer eSettings Manager by default.Acer eSettings Manager is a freeware utility that allows you to view, configure and manage BIOS passwords and other BIOS settings. You can manage the BIOS Settings by selecting from the following options: System, Hardware, Software and Administrator. System refers to the operating system and hardware refers to Hardware components like CPU, Memory, etc. You can also use User to set the BIOS passwords for the current user. The software lets you view your available BIOS passwords which can be used to reset a BIOS password to a default BIOS password or just blank without password.
If you wish to perform a BIOS password reset, you first need to know the password of the Supervisor which is by default assigned to the administrator account. You can try to enter the password that appears on the splash screen when you power on the computer. The administrator account is named as administrator, but you can use any other username and password that you know.
