When creating an Outlook profile for Exchange 2013 while onsite, the autodiscover process works completely. If I am off-site and connected using Microsoft Always On VPN the process fails as per the following:
I'm trying to connect to a remote SQL Server database through a VPN client. I'm using the connection settings to test the connection in Visual Studio 2013 for Web. I've tried the same procedure over a computer on the same network at the place where I work and it connects successfully.
Citrix Gateway can rewrite content from one or more SharePoint 2003 or SharePoint 2007 or SharePoint 2013 sites so that the content is available to users without requiring the Citrix Secure Access agent. For the rewrite process to complete successfully, you must configure Citrix Gateway with the host name for each SharePoint server in your network.
In the Citrix Gateway wizard, navigate through the wizard to configure your settings. When you come to the Configure clientless access page, type the web address for the SharePoint site and then click Add.
I have a VPN set up for our office. I can connect and logon to the domain(on which the nav 2013 runs) through the vpn. I can ping and reach the server that has the Nav sql as well as the Domain Controller. but when I run the Nav 2013. I get the error: The server "net.tcp://" is either unavailable or your connection has been lost. But when I logon with same account to the domain on the same local network. iOS 11, iPadOS 13.1, and macOS 10.14 or later support Microsoft Modern Authentication workflows of Exchange online tenants. OAuth can be used for Office 365 accounts with Modern Authentication enabled. In iOS 12 and macOS 10.14 or later, configuration can also be performed manually or with a configuration profile.

This tutorial will cover deployment of Windows Server 2012 R2's latest version of DirectAccess. While there are multiple ways to configure Direct Access, I tried to pull together what I believe are the best/recommended practices and what I believe would be a common deployment between organizations. If you have any thoughts/feedback on how to improve this deployment, please leave a comment below.

In the previous article, we discussed the features of Client Access Server (CAS) regarding creation and configuration of certificates. In this part, we will learn, how to configure Outlook Anywhere, CAS URL and the connectors.
CAS URLs configuration is very important for proper functioning of client access protocols. The CAS URLs include Auto Discover URL, ECP Virtual Directory, Exchange Web Service Virtual Directory, Offline Address Book Virtual Directory and finally Active Sync Virtual Directory. The user base is both internal and external. These URLs with authentication need to be configured separately for both internal and external. Authentication settings are configured based on the assumption that there are TMG/UAG servers on the DMZ to accept web request from the Internet.
DNS configuration directs all client requests to Exchange 2013 servers. In our example, we have mail.blue.com, which is the point of communication for all clients to access emails from both internal and external.
CAS plays a major role in Exchange 2013 organization, though its functionality is limited. To balance the load of the traffic across multiple servers, you can use the DNS round robin or Layer 4 load balancing.
On your PC, you can use the split tunnel option for the VPN. Click the Split Tunnel option and add the .exe for your Outlook 2013. That way when you are using Outlook it will bypass the VPN and you should be able to connect as normal.
I'm having trouble getting the OpenVPN GUI application to add routes to a Windows 7 client. I'm using the same config file I've used on a Windows XP client except that I added the following two lines:
Several Google searches reveal that I needed to run the application with Administrator priviledges. I am doing that, and I have even attempted running the application in Windows Vista compatibility mode. For some strange reason, Windows XP isn't an option I can select. Is there something I'm missing? My config - without the two lines I told you about earlier - works perfectly fine in Windows XP. Also, it works fine on the Windows 7 machine if I use the OpenVPN Client (and not the OpenVPN GUI).
To get this to work, I had to run OpenVPN GUI as administrator. Thanks to David Mackintosh's suggestion, I modified the exe file to always run as administrator for all users. Now, timing was key - I needed to make sure that the UAC was disabled before the VPN connection was even initiated. Fortunately, the OpenVPN GUI supports the creation of a pre-connect script by simply creating a batch file with the same name as the config file with a suffix of _pre.
FINAL NOTE: I realized that the OpenVPN GUI provided at doesn't like some of the directives in the config file (such as script-security or key-direction) and will not start unless you comment them out. This may not hold true for all, but I had to use the OpenVPN GUI that comes with release 2.3.2 of OpenVPN
There are a variety of events that, under normal circumstances, would require our network admins to re-configure the VPN, but thankfully, the Auto VPN keeps our network up and running on its own. A change in the public IP address would put a normal VPN into a tailspin. For example, an interruption in your WAN connection could cause your network to fail over to a secondary connection or 3G or 4G connection. The secondary connection would have its own public IP address and break the VPN tunnel. Instead, Auto VPN is able to communicate the IP address change to all VPN peers, and the VPN tunnels are automatically re-established.
This type of configuration has a few advantages. It is extremely reliable, because all of our peers can still communicate if the main site goes down. A mesh configuration also offers reduced latency for sensitive applications like VoIP, because each spoke can talk to the other spokes directly .
Here we will focus on site-to-site IPsec implementation between two Cisco ASA 5520 appliances, as shown in Figure 2. The outside interface of ASA1 is assigned a dynamic IP address by the service provider over DHCP, while the outside interface of ASA2 is configured with a static IP address. Basic IP address configuration and connectivity exists and we will build IPsec configuration on top of this. Although this tutorial was tested on ASA5520, the configuration commands are exactly the same for the other ASA models with no difference. 2b1af7f3a8
